The Nigerian stock market on Tuesday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index shed 0.21% to close at 27,058.62 points against the previous close of 27,115.89 points on Monday.
Market capitalisation closed at N13.186 trillion, shedding N28 billion from the previous close of N13.214 trillion.
Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 209.62 million units, valued at N3.24 billion in 3,743 deals.
Market Breadth
The market breadth closed positive as 27 stocks gained, while 10 stocks declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Oando Plc and Transcorp Plc led 22 other gainers, both gaining 10% to close at N3.85 and N0.99 respectively.
Chams Plc, Berger Paints, UACN, Law Union and Fidelity Bank among others also grew their share prices by 9.52%, 9.49%, 9.38%, 9.09% and 9.03% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Cutix Plc led the price decliners list, shedding 9.62% of its share price to close at N1.41 from the previous close of N1.56.
PZ and Union Diagnostics both shed 8.33% of their share prices among others on the decliners list.
Volume Drivers
Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 42.97 million units of its shares in 304 deals, valued at N1.137 billion.
