Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange closed negative on Tuesday, as the All Share Index declined 0.08% from 33,196.07 points on Monday to close at 33,167.88 points.
Market capitalization dipped by 0.08% closing at N12.109 trillion as against N12.119 trillion on Monday, shedding about N10 billion.
The volume and value of traded stocks grew above 100% each to arrive at 309 million units and N5.9 billion respectively.
Market Breadth
17 stocks closed positive against 24 that lost bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.
Percentage Gainers
PRESCO led other percentage gainers closing 9.43% above the previous close of N53 to settle at N58. This is followed by STANBIC, Diamond Bank and Livestock which grew 7.14%, 6.92% and 5.77% in that order.
Percentage Losers
MEYER tops the losers’ chart losing 9.68% of its share price, while Dangote Flour and Regency Alliance shed 9.52% and 9.09% respectively.
Volume Drivers
Guaranty traded the highest volume of about 57 million units of its shares in 199 deals, valued at about N2.1 billion.
