The Nigerian Bourse on Thursday closed in red as the All Share Index extends its decline by 0.24% to close at 30,568.05 points against the previous close of 30,642.35 points on Wednesday.
Market Capitalisation declined by 0.24% to close at N11.166 trillion against the previous close of N11.193 trillion, shedding N27 billion.
Aggregate volume of traded stocks declined by 21.48%, closing at 193.25 million units against the previous close of 246.1 million units on Wednesday.Value of traded stocks grew marginally by 0.04%, closing at N3.7 billion.
Industrial sector closed higher by 0.58%; while Insurance, Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors declined by 2.04%, 0.92%, 0.24% and 0.09% respectively.
Market Breadth
The market breadth closed negative as 20 stocks gained against 21 stocks that lost.
Percentage Gainers
Mansard and John Holt with 10% growth both top the percentage gainers’ chart, to close at N1.98 and N0.44 respectively.
Forte Oil grew by 9.79% to close at N24.10 from the previous close of N21.95. Airservice, Union Bank, Sterling Bank, CAP Plc, Eterna Plc and Honeywell Flour grew by 9.52%, 8.33%, 7.57%, 7.50%, 6.59% and 5.56% respectively among other gainers of the day.
Percentage Losers
UCAP led other percentage losers, shedding 9.86% of its share price to close at N2.56 form the previous close of N2.84.
Seplat, Cutix Plc, DAAR Communications, Champions Breweries, African Prudential and NASCON shed 9.83%, 9.64%, 9.09%, 8.62%, 7.26% and 5.03% respectively among others on the losers’ chart.
