NSEASI dips further, closes 0.67% lower, Wednesday

The Nigerian Bourse on Wednesday closed in red as the All Share Index dips further by 0.67% to close at 30,829.45 points against the previous close of 31,038.86 points on Tuesday.

Market capitalisation closed at N11.592 trillion against the previous close of N11.671 trillion on Wednesday, shedding N79 billion.

The aggregate volume and value of traded stocks closed at 131.43 million units and N1.4 billion respectively in 2,786 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 11 stocks gained while 19 stocks declined in price.

Percentage Gainers

Union Diagnostics with 10% growth led other gainers to close at N0.33 from the previous close of N0.30.

Cutix and Medview Air among others also grew 9.73% and 5.88% of their share prices respectively.

Percentage Losers

NEM Insurance, Stanbic and Flour Mills among other price decliners shed 5.53%, 5.15% and 5.01%.

Volume Drivers

  • Zenith Bank traded about 27.93 million units of its share in 284 deals, valued at N606.6 million.
