NSEASI dips by 0.78%, Monday

The Nigerian Bourse on Monday closed in red as the All Share Index declined by 0.78%, closing at 30,400.28 points against the previous close of 30,638.90 last week Friday

Market capitalisation closed at N11.337 trillion which is a decline 0.78% from the previous close of N11.426 trillion, shedding N89 billion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks declined by 33.42% to close at 222.58 million units against the previous close of 334.32 million units. The value of traded stocks grew by 88.73% to close at N3.34 billion.

 

Market Breadth

Market breadth closed negative as 14 stocks gained while 34stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

Diamond Bank and WAPIC Insurance with 10% growth both led the gainers’ chart, closing at  N1.98 and N0.44 respectively.

AG Leventis, AIICO and Regency Alliance also grew 7.41%, 6.25% and 5.0% of their share prices respectively among others on the gainers chart.

Percentage Losers

NEM Insurance and Resort Savings & Loan both led the losers’ chart, shedding 10% of their share prices to close at N2.34 and N0.45 respectively.

MRS, UACN, Flour Mills, Ikeja Hotel and Law Union & Rock Insurance among other losers shed 9.92%, 9.90%, 9.84%, 9.15% and 9.09% of their share prices respectively.

Volume Drivers

Diamond Bank traded about 77.68 million units of its shares in 294 deals, valued at about N153.1 million.
