NSEASI declines 0.22% with positive Breadth, Monday

The Nigerian Bourse on Monday closed lower from the previous trading session as the All Share Index declined 0.22% to close at 29,495.91 points against 29,560.47 points of the last trading session.

Market capitalization dipped by 0.22% to settle at N11.079 trillion against N11.103 trillion recorded on Friday, indicating a loss of N24 billion.

Volume and Value of traded stocks dropped by 3.86% and 9.51% to stand at 223 million units and N1.7 billion respectively.

 

Market Breadth

26 stocks closed positive against 17 that closed negative, bringing the market breadth to a positive round off.

Percentage Gainers

The INITIATES PLC led other percentage gainers closing 9.59% above the previous close of N0.73 to settle at N0.80

UACN grew 7.69%, COURTVILLE and CAVERTON gained 5.00% and 4.74% of their share prices ahead of other 10 stocks on the gainers’ chart

Percentage Losers

ABC Transport tops the losers’ chart, after losing 10.00% of its share price. Also on the red chart are AG Leventis, Niger Insurance and Royal Exchange all shedding 9.68%, 9.09% and 8.00% respectively

Volume Drivers

Guaranty traded about 14 million units of its shares in 136 deals, worth about N503 million.
