NSEASI Closes 0.21% Lower with positive Breadth, Monday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Monday closed lower as the All Share Index dropped by 0.21% to stand at 27,089.84 points against the previous close of 27,146.57 points on Friday.

Market Capitalisation declined by 0.21% to close at N13.179 trillion against the previous close of N13.207 trillion, shedding N28 billion.

Aggregate volume and value of traded stocks closed at 290 million units and valued at N4.2 billion in 2,900 deals.

Market Breadth

Market Breadth closed positive as 15 stocks gained while 14 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

UAC Property and UACN led 13 other gainers with 9.09% growth each to close at N1.08 and N6.60 from the previous close of N0.99 and N6.05 respectively.

Other stocks that closed the day, gaining over 5.00% of their share prices include: JOHNHOLT, SEPLAT, FBNH and PZ.

Percentage Losers

The day’s price decliners’ list is led by Livestock Feeds, shedding 7.14% of its share price to close at N0.39 below the previous close of N0.42

Still on the losers’ chart are: LASACO, CUTIX, NPF Microfinance and NESTLE, shedding 6.90%, 6.67%, 6.45% and 5.73% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Guaranty Bank traded about 128 million units of its shares in 150 deals, valued at about N3.379 billion.
