NSEASI Buoys for the 7th Consecutive Time, closes 1.38% higher, Friday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Friday closed in green as the All Share Index grew further by 1.38%, marking the seventh straight gains, to close at 31,005.17 points from the previous close of 30,583.21 points on Thursday.

Market capitalisation grew by 1.38% to close at N11.562 trillion against the previous close of N11.405 trillion, gaining N157 billion

Volume and value of traded stocks grew by 30.21% and 15.46% to close at 300.8 million units and N3.76 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

21 stocks gained, while 22 stocks lost bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Percentage Gainers

Regency Alliance Insurance with 10% growth led other percentage gainers to close at N0.22 from the previous close of N0.20

Neimeth, Union Bank, NEM Insurance, Unity Bank, Custodian Investment and CCNN grew 9.84%, 9.76%, 9.73%, 9.64%, 9.32%, and 9.13% respectively among other gainers.

Percentage Losers

Berger Paints tops the losers’ chart, shedding 9.88% of its share price to close at N7.75 from the previous close of N8.60

Livestock Feeds and Beta Glass also shed 9.43% and 8.79% respectively among others on the losers’ chart.

 Volume Drivers

  • Diamond Bank traded about 72.18 million units of its shares in 120 deals, valued at N151.9 million.
  • Zenith Bank traded about 49.7 million units of its shares in 374 deals, valued at N1.06 billion
  • Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 46.26 million units of its shares in 363 deals, valued at N1.49 billion
