The All share index of the Nigeria Stock Exchange on Wednesday further declined by 0.45% to close at 37,253.25 points from the previous close of 37,421.01 points.
Market capitalisation dropped by 0.45% closing at N13.495 trillion, as against N13.556 trillion of the previous day implying a loss of about N61billion.
Volume of traded stocks appreciated by 34.65% closing at about 287 million units, while value declined by 0.41%, settling at N3.7 billion.
Market Breadth
17 stocks closed positive as against 25 that lost bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.
Percentage Gainers
On top of the gainers chart is Custodian, with percentage gain of 10.00% closing at N6.27 from the previous close of N5.70.
MCNICHOLS also grew by 9.88% while MOBIL as well grew 9.39% ahead other stocks like EQUITY ASURANCE, WAPIC, FORTE OIL and REGALINS among others.
Percentage Losers
JBERGER topped the losers’ chart, losing 10% of its share price, while THOMASWY and LINKASSURE both shed 8.82% and 8.85% respectively to rank among the highest losers for the day under review.
Volume Drivers
Zenith Bank traded about 116 million units of its shares in 248 deals worth about N965million to emerge best traded stock in terms of deals volume and value.
