Nigerian stock market rebounds, closes 0.11% higher

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Monday closed  higher as the All Share Index grew by 0.11% to close at 27,950.37 points from the previous close of 27,918.59 points on Friday.

The market capitalisation grew by 0.12% to close at N13.622 trillion from the previous close of N13.606 trillion, thereby gaining N16 billion.

Aggregate volume and value of traded stocks closed at 93 million units and N1.1 billion in 3,056 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 20 stocks gained while 14 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

C&I Leasing with 10.00% growth led the gainers chart to close at N5.50 from the previous close of N5.00

VITAFOAM, Japaul Oil and Dangote Flour among price gainers grew their share prices by 9.95%, 9.52% and 9.19% respectively.

Percentage Losers

TOTAL Plc led the decliners chart, shedding 9.96% of its share price to close the day at N114.80. Other price losers are CHAMS, Ekobank and UACN-Property all shedding above 5.00% of their share prices.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 11 million units of its shares in 321 deals, valued at N208 million.
