Nigerian Equities Market Drops Further by 0.32%, Tuesday

The Nigerian Equities market on Tuesday closed in red as the All Share Index declined by 0.32% to close at 27,602.77 points against the previous close of 27,691.85 points on Monday.

Market capitalisation closed at N13.428 trillion, shedding N44 billion from the previous close of N13.472 trillion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 183.65 million units, valued at N4.5 billion in 3,558 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 13 stocks gained, while 23 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

PZ with 5.93% growth led the gainers chart to close at N6.25 from the previous close of N5.90. This is followed by Courtville, which gained 5% to close at N0.21 from the previous close of N0.20.

Percentage Losers

Seplat, Neimeth and NPF Microfinance Bank among other price decliners shed 9.82%, 9.62% and 9.52% of their share prices respectively.

 

Volume Drivers

  • Transcorp traded about 29.67million units of its shares in 99 deals, valued at N31.7 million.
  • Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 25.17 million units of its shares in 310 deals, valued at N692 million.
