Nigerian Bourse stays 0.02% afloat, Wednesday

The Nigerian Bourse on Wednesday extends gains from the previous session as the All Share Index rose 0.02% to close at 27,878.43 points from Tuesday’s close of 27,871.90 points.

As a result, investors gained about N4billion as market capitalisation advanced to N14.520 trillion from N14.516 of the last trading session.

The traded volume and value of stocks at the close of the day’s trading dropped by 44.84% and 34.29% to settle at 152 million units and N2.4 billion respectively.

 Market Breadth

13 stocks closed positive against 18 that lost, making it a negative breadth.

Percentage Gainers

C & I Leasing led other percentage gainers closing at 9.09% above the previous close of N4.95 to settle at N5.40.

African Prudential grew 2.17% and UAC Nigeria grew 2.15% ahead other stocks like LAWUNION, Access Bank and NAHCO.

Percentage Losers

Sky Aviation tops the losers’ chart losing 9.50% of its share price, while Royal Exchange, Japaul Oil, Guiness and Sterling Bank shed their share prices ahead of other losers by 8.00%, 7.69%, 7.28% and 7.19% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Guaranty traded about 46 million units of its shares in 252 deals, valued at about N1.3 billion.

Zenith Bank traded about 20 million units of its shares in 470 deals, valued at N414 million.
