Nigerian Bourse recovers, advances by 0.14%

The Nigerian Bourse on Monday recovered from Friday’s decline of 0.25% to advance by 0.14%. The All Share Index closed at 55,605.57 points against the previous close of 55,529.21 points.

Consequently, investors gained N41 billion as market capitalisation also grew to N30.291 trillion from N30.250 trillion of the previous session, translating to a growth of 0.14%

The volume and value of traded stocks stood at 123.5 million units and N2.48 billion in 4,076 deals.

Market Breadth
16 stocks closed positive against 20 that declined, bringing the market breadth to a negative round up

Percentage Gainers

Julius Berger led the gainers to close at 26.95% above the previous close of N24.50 which is 10.00% growth.

Unity Bank, International Energy Insurance, Livestock Feeds and CHAMS among other gainers also grew their share prices by 4.00% and above.

Percentage Losers

CWG led other price decliners, shedding 7.14% of its share price to close at N0.91 from the previous close of N0.98.

FTN Cocoa, OANDO and COURTVILLE also shed their share prices by 6.67%, 4.39% and 4.17% respectively.

Volume Drivers

UBA traded about 9 million units of its shares in 153 deals, valued at N79 million.

GTCO traded about 9 million units of its shares in 194 deals, valued at about N248 million.
