Nigerian Bourse maintains uptrend by 1.13% as investors gain N1.08trn

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Friday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index rose by 1.13% to close at 152,057.38 points from the previous close of 150,363.05 points on Thursday.

Investors gained N1.08 trillion as Market Capitalisation grew by 1.13% to close at N96.937 trillion away from the previous close of N95.857 trillion on Thursday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 1.5 billion units, valued at N21.8 billion in 25,667 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 34 stocks gained, while 24 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

UNIONDICON and AUSTINLAZ Plc with 10% growth each led others on the gainers’ list to close at N6.60 and N2.42 respectively.

TANTALIZER and ALEX among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.80% and 9.78% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Sovereign Trust Insurance shed 7.42% of its share price to lead the day’s lossers, closing at N3.87 from the previous close of N4.18.

Royal Exchange and OMATEK among others also shed their share prices by 6.84% and 6.84% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Sterling Bank traded about 279 million units of its shares in 327 deals, valued at N1.96 billion.

FCMB traded about 76 million units of its shares in 391 deals, valued at N801 million.
