Nigerian Bourse gains N94 billion, closes 0.85% higher, Tuesday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock exchange on Tuesday closed in green as the All Share Index grew by 0.85% to close at 29,746.24 points against the previous close of 29,495.91 points on Monday.

 

Market capitalization grew by 0.85% to close at N11.173 trillion against the previous close of N11.079 trillion, thereby gaining N94 billion.

The aggregate volume and value of traded stocks closed at 321.36 million units and N4.66 billion in 2,979 deals.

 

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 21 stocks gained while 10 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

Chams Plc, Dangote Flour and Trans- Nationwide Express Plc grew their share prices by 10%, 9.78% and 9.33% respectively among others on the gainers’ list.

Percentage Losers

John Holt tops the losers’ chart, shedding 9.62% of its share price to close at n0.47 from the previous close of N0.52.

Royal Exchange and AG Leventis among others on the decliners’ list also shed, 8.70% and 7.14% of their share prices respectively.

Volume Drivers

Union Bank traded about 134 million units of its shares in 39 deals, worth about N912 million..
