Nigerian Bourse gains N35 bn, closes 0.32% higher, Thursday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock exchange on Thursday closed in green as the All Share Index grew by 0.32% to close at 30,802.90 points from the previous close of 30,704.98 points on Wednesday.

Market capitalisation grew by 0.31% closing at N11.251 trillion against the previous close of N11.216 trillion, thereby gaining N35bn

Volume traded stocks grew by 171.63% to close at 545.98 million units; while value of traded stocks declined marginally by 0.21% to close at N4.089 billion.

Market Breadth

17 stocks closed positive while 22 stocks lost, bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Percentage Gainers

NEM Insurance and Unity Bank with 10% growth led other percentage gainers to close at N2.53 and N0.88 respectively.

Berger Paint, Diamond Bank and Jaiz Bank among other stocks grew 9.79%, 9.60% and 8.70% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Union Diagnostics tops the losers ‘chart, shedding 7.69% of its share price to close at N0.24 from the previous close of N0.26.

Union Bank, CCNN, UACN and Access Bank shed 6.67%, 6.56%, 6.54% and 6.33% respectively among others on the losers’ chart.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 37.3million units of its shares in 320deals, valued at about N838.48 million.
