Nigerian Bourse gains N39 billion as NSEASI grew 0.33%, Thursday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Thursday closed in green as the All Share Index grew by 0.33% to close at 32,480.89 points from the previous close of 32,375.12 points on Wednesday.

Market capitalisation grew by 0.33% to close at N11.858 trillion from the previous close of N11.819 trillion thereby gaining N39 billion

Other market indicators went up as volume and value of traded stocks grew by  18.74% and 32.06%, closing at 226.027 million units and N2.34 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 25 stocks gained while 15 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

WAPCO led other percentage gainers, gaining 9.90% to close at N22.75 from the previous close of N20.7

First Aluminium Nigeria Plc and UACN grew 9.68% and 8.82% ahead other stocks on the gainers’ list.

Percentage Losers

Prestige Assurance Plc tops the losers’ chart losing 9.68% of its share price to close at N0.56 from the previous close of N0.62

Unity Bank and Honeywell Flour shed 9.28% and 6.21% respectively among others on the losers’ chart.

Volume Drivers

  • Zenith Bank traded about 20.725 million units of its shares in 203 deals, valued at about N428.8million
