Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday closed in green as the All Share Index grew by 0.09% to close 30,773.57 points from the previous close of 30,745.05 points on Monday.
Market Capitalisation grew by 0.10% to close at N11.476 trillion from the previous close of N11.465 trillion, gaining N11 billion.
The aggregate volume and value of traded stocks grew by 3.62% and 181.20% to close at 190.32 million units and N2.93 billion respectively.
Market Breadth
Market breadth closed positive as 21 stocks gained against 12 stocks that lost.
Percentage Gainers
Beta Glass with 10% growth led the gainers chart, closing at N66 against the previous close of N60.
ABC Transport, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance and Sunu Assurances among other gainers also grew 8.33%, 6.90% and 5.00% of their share prices respectively.
Percentage Losers
A.G Leventis tops the losers’ chart, shedding 6.9% of its share price to close at N0.27 from the previous close of N0.29.
NAHCO, Dangote Sugar and Honeywell Flour among other price decliners also shed 3.77%, 3.23% and 2.44% respectively.
Volume Drivers
- Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 49.24 million units of its shares which is the highest volume of the day in 174 deals, valued at N1.67 billion.
- Zenith Bank traded about 20.74 million units of its shares in 327 deals, valued at N473.25 million.
- FBNH traded about 18.87 million units of its shares in 238 deals, valued at N140.87 million.
