Nigerian Bourse closes lower by 0.13%, Friday

The Nigerian equities market on Friday closed in red as the All Share Index declined by 0.13% to close at 26,536.21 points against the previous close of 26,569.80 points on Thursday.

 

Market Capitalisation grew closed at N12.808 trillion, shedding N16 billion from the previous close of N12.824 trillion on Thursday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 155 million units, valued at 1.43 billion in 2,773 deals.

 

MARKET BREADTH

The market breadth closed positive as 20 stocks gained while 12 stocks declined in their share prices.

PERCENTAGE GAINERS

A.G Leventis with 8.33% growth led 19 other gainers to close at N0.39 from the previous close of N0.36.

Cornerstone Insurance and Jaiz Bank among other gainers also grew their share prices by 6.45% and 6.35% respectively.

PERCENTAGE LOSERS

Glaxosmith, Livestock Feeds and Oando among other price decliners shed their share prices by 9.48%, 5.88% and 4.74% respectively.

 

VOLUME DRIVERS

  • UBA traded about 42.59 million units of its shares in 197 deals, valued at N285 million.
