Nigerian Bourse closes flat, Monday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Monday closed flat as the All Share Index declined marginally by 0.004% to settle at 28,658.31 points from the previous close of 28,659.45 points.

Market capitalization closed at N14,979,231,093,954.50 as against the previous close of N14,979,830,022,541.64 which implies a loss of N598.93 million.

An aggregate of 287.3 million units of shares were traded in 5,132 deals, valued at N3.4 billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 17 stocks gained against 20 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

International Breweries led other gainers with 9.94% growth to close at N5.86 from the previous close of N5.33.

Ikeja Hotel and Cutix Plc among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.90% and 9.88% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Royal Exchange Assurance led other price decliners as it shed 8% of its share price to close at N0.23 from the previous close of N0.25.

May & Baker and Academy Press among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.69% and 6.90% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 42.93 million units of its shares in 560 deals, valued at about N903.77 million.

UBA traded about 41.68 million units of its shares in 388 deals, valued at about N298.55 million.

FBN Holdings traded about 32.76 million units of its shares in 322 deals, valued at N206.3 million.
