Nigerian Bourse bounced back, advances 0.25%, Thursday

The Nigerian Bourse bounced back from the previous marginal decline of Wednesday, advancing by 0.25% on Thursday.
The All Share Index advanced by 0.25% closing at 40,874.09 points as against the previous close of 40,772.26 points.
As a result, investors gained about N37billion as market capitalisation also advanced to N14.764 trillion as against N14.727 trillion of the previous trading session.

Trading activities were upbeat as volume and value traded grew 222.19 percent and 106.52 percent to settle at 740.517 million units and N8.914 billion respectively.

18 stocks closed positive against 24 that lost bringing the market breadth to a negative round up

Percentage Gainers

Oando led other percentage gainers closing 6.08% above the previous close of N9.05 to settle at N9.60. Courtville grew 5.00% and Eterna Oil grew 4.82% ahead stocks like Fidson, Wema Bank and Soverign Trust Insurance.

In the Banking sector, Wemabank outperformed other banks on the gainers list closing 4.65% above the previous close of N0.86 settling at N0.90, Jaizbank grew by 2.27% closing at N0.90 as against N0.88. Fidelity and Access bank also made it to this chart.

Percentage Losers

FIRSTALUM tops the losers’ chart losing 7.55% of its share price, while Mobile and FCMB both shed 4.74% and 4.00% respectively.

Oando is the most actively traded stock on Thursday, trading 185.4 million units of its shares in a massive deals of 1502, worth about N1.79 billion.
