Nigerian Bourse advances, gaining 52bn

The Nigerian Bourse on Monday advanced as The All Share Index soared by 0.08% closing at 106,621.91 points against the previous close of 106,528.60 points.

Investors gained N52 billion as market capitalisation grew to N66.769 trillion from N66.717 trillion of the previous session.

The volume and value of traded stocks stood at 365 million units and N17.6 billion in 10,583 deals.

32 stocks closed positive against 27 that declined, bringing the market breadth to a positive round up

Percentage Gainers

ETERNA OIL, TRANSCORP, FCMB and African Prudential led the gainers chart with 9.96%, 9.91%, 9.89% and 9.85% growth to close the day at N37.55, N51.55, N10.00 and N36.25 respectively.

Percentage Losers

VFDGROUP led other price decliners, shedding 9.92% of its share price to close at N47.20 from the previous close of N52.40.

International Energy Insurance, CADBURY and Cornerstone Insurance also shed their share prices by 8.72%, 8.00% and 7.89% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Fidelity Bank traded about 56 million units of its shares in 568 deals, valued at N970.8 million.

ACCESSCORP traded about 30 million units of its shares in 665 deals, valued at about N725 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 28 million units of its shares in 804 deals, valued at N1.3 billion
