NGXASI closes lower, down by 0.29%

The Nigerian Exchange on Monday closed lower as the All Share Index was down by 0.29% to close at 47,063.28 points from the previous close of 47,202.30 points.

Investors lose N75 billion as the Market Capitalisation dropped by 0.29% to close at N25.361 trillion from the previous close of N25.436 trillion.

At the close of trade on Monday, an aggregate of 338 million units of shares were traded in 5,619 deals, valued at N5.675 billion.

The Market Breadth closed perfectly balanced as 23 equities emerged as gainers against 23 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

NCR, Guinness and Learn Africa led other gainers with 10.00% growth each, to close at N3.63, N66.55 and N1.65 respectively.

University Press, ACADEMY and PHARMADEKO among other 17 gainers also grew their share prices by over 9.00%.

Percentage Losers

Japaul Gold led other price decliners as it shed 7.69% of its share price to close at N0.36 from the previous close of N0.39

COURTVILLE and Custodian among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 7.27% and 5.70% respectively

Volume Drivers

Fidelity traded about 35.8 million units of its share in 173 deals, valued at N104.9 million.

Access Bank traded 33.8 million units of its shares in 296 deals, valued at about N353.7 million.

GTCO traded about 23 million units of its shares in 395 deals, valued at N613 million.
