NGXASI closes lower, down by 0.07%

The Nigerian Stock Exchange on Wednesday closed lower as The All Share Index was down by 0.07% to close at 47,531.84 points from the previous close of 47,565.92 points.

Investors’ wealth declined by N18 billion as the Market Capitalisation dropped by 0.07% to close at N25.889 trillion from the previous close of N25.907 trillion.

At the close of trade on Wednesday, an aggregate of 155 million units of shares were traded in 3,797 deals, valued at N3.66 billion.

The Market Breadth closed negative as 9 equities emerged as gainers against 18 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Redstar Express led other gainers with 8.49% growth, to close at N2.30 from the previous close of N2.12.

May & Baker and OANDO above other 6 gainers also grew their share prices by 3.70% and 2.29% respectively.

Percentage Losers

GSPECPLC led the price decliners’ table as it shed 9.82% of its share price to close at N2.48 from the previous close of N2.75

Honeywell Flour, Livestock feeds and RTBRISCOE among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.77%, 9.65% and 8.82% respectively.

Volume Drivers

GTCO traded about 28 million units of its share, valued at about N480 million.

Zenith Bank traded 11 million units of its shares, valued at about N228.9 million.

Dangote Cement traded about 8 million units of its shares, valued at N2 billion.
