Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) has debunked the fraud allegation levelled against its Board Chairman.
In a statement made available of the website of the Nigerian Exchange, the Company stated thus:
“We refer to a recent post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by one Mahdi Shehu, and some other mediums in certain quarters, alleging fraudulent activities involving the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company PLC (NAHCO).
We wish to categorically state that the post is false, erroneous, and misleading. This erroneous post is baseless and has nothing to do with the Board Chairman of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company PLC.
The content of the said social media post referred to alleged fraud relating to Hajj subsidy, pilgrims’ accommodations and other Hajj related operations which have nothing to do with the Chairman of NAHCO PLC. However, the author of the post erroneously referred to the Chairman of NAHCO.
We urge the public, our customers/clients and our esteemed shareholders to disregard the baseless and unfounded allegations as they have nothing to do with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company PLC.
We wish to assure that the Board and Management of NAHCO remain focused on delivering value to our esteemed shareholders and customers/clients, and upholding the trust reposed in us”.
