MCNICHOLS Nets N8.185mn, Grows EPS by 40% in Q1, 2019

The reports for the First Quarter ended March 31, 2019 released by the management of the Company that produces granulated sugar, cube sugar, icing sugar, baking sugar, chocolate powder, custard powders and corn flakes revealed that the group grew its profit after tax by 40.25% year on year from N5.836 million to N8.185 million in the period under review.

The turnover for the period under review however dropped by 12.42% from the previous N204.704 million to about N179 million in the current period.

With about 300 million share outstanding, Shareholders’ earnings per share grew by 40% from about 2kobo to 3kobo.

At a reference price of N0.58 it traded last, the company’s PE Ratio stood at 23.15x with earnings yield of 4.32%.
