Equity investors last week gained N1.265 trillion on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), triggered by Q3 2025 earnings expectation.
The NGX All-Share Index advanced by 1.35% week-on-week to close at 148,977.64 points from the previous close of 146,988.04 points
The Market Capitalisation grew by 1.36% week on week, settling at N94,561 trillion from N93.296 trillion.
Year-to-date (YTD), the market has returned to 44.74%.
An aggregate of 2.189 billion units of shares, valued at N67.9 billion in 117,792 deals were traded by investors on the floor of the Exchange,
Fifty-two (52) equities appreciated in price during last week, higher than fifty-one (51) equities in the previous week. Forty-one (41) equities depreciated in price, same as forty-one (41) equities in the previous week, while fifty-three (53) equities remained unchanged, lower than fifty-five (55) recorded in the previous week.
All other indices finished higher with the exception of NGX CG, NGX Banking, NGX AFR Bank Value, NGX AFR Div Yield, NGX MERI Growth, NGX MERI Value and NGX Growth Indices which depreciated by 0.19%, 0.13%, 0.51%, 0.93%, 0.97%, 0.68%, and 2.08% respectively.
TOP 10 GAINERS
Sovereign Trust Insurance led the gainers table with 11.21% to close at N3.57 from the previous close of N3.21.
Royal Exchange, EUNISELL, SFSREIT and OMATEK grew their share prices by 11.11%, 1O.00%, 9.88% and 9.49% respectively.
Others among the top 10 gainers include: Trsnscorp Power 8.92%, STANBIC IBTC 8.26%, Universal Insurance 8.11%, VITAFOAM 7.41% and Prestige Assurance 6.51% respectively.
TOP 10 LOSERS
TRIPPLEG led other price decliners as it shed 18.84% of its share price to close at N4.91 from the previous close of N6.05.
Academy Press, Regency Alliance, Living Trust Insurance and IMG among other price decliners shed their share prices by 17.92%, 13.94%, 13.46% and 9.87% respectively.
Other price decliners include: Sunu Assurance (9.01%), UACN (8.63%), AUSTINLAZ (7.94%), ELLAHLAKES (7.20%) and CHAMS (6.98%) respectively.
