Nigerian stock market on Monday plunged by 0.24% as 20 stocks led by Julius Berger shed weight

The All Share Index dropped by 0.24% to close at 96,205.84 points from the previous close of 96,433.53 points.

The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.20% to close at N55.283 trillion from the previous close of N55.394 trillion, thereby shedding N111 billion.

An aggregate of 774 million units of shares were traded in 10,412 deals, valued at N14.6 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 34 equities emerged as gainers against 20 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

TANTALIZER and ETERNA OIL led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N0.77 and N33.00 and from the previous close of N0.70 and N30.00 respectively.

OANDO and FTN COCOA among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.95% and 9.93% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Julius Berger led other price decliners as it shed 10.00% of its share price to close at N153.45 from the previous close of N170.50.

Transcorp power and MCNICHOLS among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.99% and 9.40% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Jaiz Bank traded about 247 million units of its shares in 162 deals, valued at N537 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 173 million units of its shares in 799 deals, valued at N6.4 billion.
