The Nigerian Stock market on Tuesday extended decline from the previous trading session as the All Share Index declines 0.51% to close at 41,243.24 points as against the previous close of 41,454.30 points on Monday.
Market capitalization also declined by 0.51% to settle at N14.899 trillion as against N14.975 trillion of the last trading session, shedding N76 billion.
All indicators were red as traded volume and value declined by 7.12% and 19.28%, settling at 352.889 million units and N4.142 billion respectively.
Market Breadth
The market breadth closed weak as 21 stocks gained while 31 lost.
Percentage Gainers
GSK led other percentage gainers closing 10.16% above the previous close of N28.05, to settle at N30.9
Wema Bank grew 8.97% and MRS grew 5% ahead other stocks like CCNN, Forte Oil, UAC Property, ABC Transport and Unity Kapital.
Percentage Losers
Diamond Bank tops the losers’ chart losing 7.32% of its share price, while International Breweries, ETI and Seplat each shed 5% respectively.
The most actively traded stocks of the day is Zenith Bank, trading about 59 million units of its shares in 497 deals, worth about N1.7 billion
