Stock market declines by 0.02%, sheds N6bn

Trading activities on the floor of Nigerian Exchange on Wednesday closed on a bearish note as the All Share Index declined by 0.02% lower to settle at 46,766.16 points from the previous close of  46,777.37 points.

The Market Capitalisation dropped by N6 billion to close at N25.212 trillion from N25.218 trillion recorded in the previous session.

Aggregate volume and value of traded stocks settled at 261.6 million units and N2.4 billion in 4,668 deals. 

Market Breadth

Market Breadth closed negative as 16 stocks gained against 18 stocks that declined in their share prices at the end of the day’s trading

Percentage Gainers

Regency Alliance led the gainers chart with 10.00% growth to close at N0.33 from the previous close of N0.30.

Livestock Feeds, MULTIVERSE, and MEYER also made it to the green table, gaining 9.59%, 9.52% and 9.30% respectively.

Percentage Losers

NPF Microfinance Bank tops the price decliners’ list, shedding 9.78% of its share price to close at N2.03 from N2.25.

Still on the red table are; RTBRISCOE, Prestige Assurance and CHAMS, shedding 8.93%, 8.16% and 4.76% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Fidelity Bank traded about 82 million units of its shares in 366 deals, valued at about N281 million.

GTCO traded about 15 million units of its shares in 460 deals, valued at about N345.6 million.

ACCESSCORP traded about 15 million units of its shares in 196 deals, valued at about N148.8 million.
