Market Capitalisation hits N13tn as NSEASI grew further by 0.38%

The Nigerian equities market on Friday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index grew further by 0.38% to close at 26,968.79 points from the previous close of 26,867.79 points on Thursday.

The Market Capitalisation hits N13 trillion at the close of trade, up by 0.38% away from the previous close of N12.971 trillion.

 

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 608.86 million units, valued at N3.76 billion in 6,071 deals.

 

Market Breadth

The market Breadth closed positive as 22 stocks gained while 15 stocks declined in their share prices.

 

Percentage Gainers

Niger Insurance led the gainers chart with 10% growth to close at N0.22 from the previous close of N0.20.

Cornerstone Insurance, Africa Prudential Plc and Ecobank Transnational Incorporated among other gainers grew their share prices by 8.16%, 6.25% and 6.11% respectively.

 

Percentage Losers

Deap Capital Management & Trust Plc and Omatek Ventures Plc both led other price, shedding 10% of their share prices respectively.

Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals, Linkage Assurance and Interlinked Technologies Plc among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.68%, 9.43% and 9.06% respectively.

Volume Drivers

  • Zenith Bank traded about 63.54 million units of its shares in only 748 deals, valued at about N1.2 billion.
  • Niger Insurance traded about 127.2 million units of its shares in 3 deal, valued at about N27.99 million.
  • Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc about 121.2 million units of its shares in only 4 deals, valued at about N24.24 million.
