Lafarge Africa (WAPCO) published its Q2 2018 results which showed that the company lost significantly N3.9billion after tax within the period ended June 30th, 2018. This represents a 119.7% decline away from the previous reported N19.7billion of same period 2017.
Sales however grew by marginal 4.8% year on year to N162.3bn, away from N154.8billion reported in the corresponding period of 2017.
The cement producer’s shareholders earnings of N2.28 realised in the previous period dropped also by 119% to arrive at a loss of 45kobo in the review period of 2018.
