Lafarge Africa boosts Q1 profit by 13.26% to N9.14bn

Lafarge Africa Plc (WAPCO) released an impressive for the period ended 31 March 2021, as the company recorded growth in its topline and bottom line figures.

The Group reported a turnover of N71.470 billion, up by 12.21% from N63.696 billion reported in Q1 2020.

Profit after tax grew by 13.26% to N9.136 billion from N8.067 billion reported in Q1 2020.

Earnings per share of Lafarge for the period under review increased by 13.26% to 57 kobo form the EPS of 50 kobo reported in Q1 2020.

At the share price of N22.25, the P.E ratio of Lafarge Africa (WAPCO) stands at 39.23x with earnings yield of 2.55%.
