Japaul Oil, Sovereign Trust Insurance led other gainers as NSEASI closes 0.67% higher, Tuesday

The Nigerian Bourse on Tuesday closed in green as the All Share Index rebounded from the previous day’s loss to close at 32,406.18 points which is a growth of 0.67% from the previous close of 32,190.07 points on Monday.

Market capitalisation closed at N12.085 trillion, gaining N81 billion from the previous close of N12.004 trillion on Monday.

Volume and Value of traded stocks grew by 55.01% and 23.69% to close at 361.82 million units and N4.16 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 16 stocks gained against 14 stocks that lost.

Percentage Gainers

Japaul Oil and Sovereign Trust Insurance with 9.52% growth both led the gainers’ list. ABC Transport, Custodian Investment and Academy Press among other gainers also grew by 9.09%, 8.26% and 8.11% respectively.

Percentage Losers

First Aluminium tops the losers’ chart, shedding 10% of its share price to close at N0.27 from the previous close of N0.30.

Transcorp, Wema Bank and Unity Bank also shed 9.74%, 9.68% and 9.65% to close at N1.39, N0.84 and N1.03 respectively.

Volume Drivers

  • Transcorp traded about 120.2 million units of its shares in 486 deals, valued at about N168.2 million
  • Zenith Bank traded about 37.3 million units of its shares in 691 deals, valued at about N925.5 million
