The Friday trading on the floor of the Nigerian stock market closed higher as the Market Capitalisation closed at N20.300 trillion to close at N20.254 trillion, thereby gaining N46 billion.
The All Share Index grew by 0.23% to settle at 38,962.28 points from the previous close of 38,874.13 points.
An aggregate of 633.5 million units of shares were traded in 3,228 deals, valued at N6.448 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 25 equities emerged as gainers against 11 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Pharma Deko led the gainers’ chart with 9.74% growth to close at N2.14 from the previous close of N1.95.
Sovereign Insurance, Okomu Oil and Eternal Oil among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.70%, 5.77% and 4.95% respectively.
Percentage losers
SCOA led other price decliners as it shed 9.38% of its share price to close at N0.87 from the previous close of N0.96.
PRESCO and Regency Alliance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 8.18% and 6.38% respectively.
Volume Drivers
First Bank Holding traded about 481.5 million units of its shares in 122 deals, valued at N3.6 billion.
Zenith Bank traded about 12 million units of its shares in 433 deals, valued at N560 million.
Guaranty traded about 28.9 million units of its shares in 489 deals, valued at N955 million.
