The Nigerian equity market on Thursday bounced back from two straight sessions of decline as the All Share Index grew by 0.29% to settle at 52,752.96 points from the previous close of 52,599.65 points.
Investors gained N83 billion as the Market Capitalisation was up by 0.29% to close at N28.733 trillion from the previous close of N28.650 trillion.
An aggregate of 139.7 million units of shares were traded in 3,549 deals, valued at N2 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 25 equities appreciated in their share prices against 7 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
GEREGU led the gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N147.40 from the previous close of N134.00.
WAPIC, CHELLARAM and International Energy Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.76%, 9.70% and 9.43% respectively.
Percentage Losers
RTBRISCOE led price decliners’ table as it shed 9.09% of its share price to close at N0.30 from the previous close of N0.33.
Royal Exchange, COURTVILLE and Linkage Assurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 8.24%, 7.84% and 4.00% respectively.
Volume Drivers
GTCO traded about 17.8 million units of its shares in 216 deals, valued at about N433 million.
ACCESSCORP traded about 15 million units of its shares in 145 deals, valued at about N141 million.
