Investors gain N3bn as NGXASI inches up by 0.01%

The equity market on Monday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index grew marginally by 0.01% to settle at 37,952.65 points from the previous close of 37,947.18 points.

Investors gained N3 billion as Market Capitalisation appreciated by 0.02% to N19.774 trillion from the previous close of N19.771 trillion.

An aggregate of 462.81 million units of shares were traded in 3,610 deals, valued at N1.2 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 22 equities appreciated in their share prices against 10 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Eterna Plc led other gainers with 10% growth, closing at N7.15 from the previous close of N6.50.

University Press, Cutix Plc and Regency Assurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.93%, 9.92% and 8.89% respectively.

Percentage Losers

FTN Cocoa led other price decliners as it shed 7.32% of its share price to close at N0.38 from the previous close of N0.41.

Sovereign Trust Insurance and Ecobank among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 6.06% and 3.77% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Jaiz Bank traded about 217.12 million units of its shares in 189 deals, valued at N116.62 million.

Sterling Bank traded about 78.18 million units of its shares in 73 deals valued at N119.55 million.

Wema Bank traded about 19.15 million units of its shares in 93 deals, valued at N15.799 million.
