Investors gain N35bn as stock market advances by 0.14%

Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Thursday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.14% to close at 47,272.04 points from the previous close of 47,207.27 points.

Investors gained N35 billion as the Market Capitalisation grew by 0.14% to close at N25.477 trillion from the previous close of N25.442 trillion.

An aggregate of 340.67 million units of shares were traded in 5,383 deals, valued at N3.86 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 25 equities appreciated in their share prices against 18 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

ETRANZACT led other gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N2.42 from the previous close of N2.20.

Learn Africa and SCOA among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.92%, and 9.69% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Multiverse led other price decliners as it shed 8.00% of its share price to close at N0.23 from the previous close of N0.25.

Japaul Gold and International Breweries among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 5.00% and 4.55% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Custodian Investment traded about 39.17 million units of its shares in 11 deals, valued at about N282 million.

Sterling Bank traded about 33.35 million units of its shares in 347 deals, valued at N53.78 million.

Fidelity Bank traded about 22.4 million units of its shares in 200 deals, valued at N68.95 million.
