The Nigerian stock market last week closed on a bullish note. This comes amid renewed buying interest in blue-chip stocks across key sectors, propelling the benchmark All-Share Index to 3.07% growth, settling at 118,138.22 while market capitalization was up by 3.13% to settle at N74.534 trillion from the previous close of N72.275 trillion
The bullish sentiment pushed the equity market year-to-date gain to14.78%
The market breadth closed positive as 55 stocks gained against 42 stocks that declined in their share prices.
TOP 10 GAINERS
ELLAHLAKES led other gainers in the course of last week with 23.09% growth, closing at N5.33 from the previous close of N4.33.
BETAGLASS, Living Trust Insurance, GTCO and MEYER grew their share prices by 19.43%, 18.88%, 18.81%and 13.61% respectively.
Other top 10 gainers include: Nem Insurance 13.33%, Legend Internet 11.71%, PRESCO 11.68%, SEPLAT 9.78% and STANBIC 9.64% respectively.
TOP 10 LOSERS
Northern Nigeria Flourmills led other price decliners, shedding 17.19% of its share price to close at N93.20 from the previous close of N112.55.
Sunu Assurance, OANDO, International Energy Insurance and OMATEK shed their share prices by 12.81%, 11.59%, 9.55% and 7.59% respectively.
Other price decliners include: VFDGROUP (7.41%), CAVERTON (7.23%), Redstar Express (7.14%), C & I Leasing (6.45%) and LASACO (6.25%) respectively.
