Investors gain N18bn as NSEASI inches up by 0.14%

The Nigerian equities market on Monday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index rose by 0.14%, closing at 26,384.45 points from the previous close of 26,348.73 points.

Market Capitalisation closed at N12.844 trillion, gaining N18bn from the previous close of N12.826 trillion last week Friday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 485.9 million units, valued at N1.08 billion in 3,861 deals.

 

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 12 stocks gained while 7 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Courteville led the gainers’ list with 9.52% growth, closing at N0.23 from the previous close of N0.21.

Tripple Gee & Company Plc, Cornerstone Insurance and Cement Company of Northern among other gainers grew their share prices by 8.47%, 7.89% and 6.00% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Livestock Feeds and UACN among other price decliners shed their share prices by 8.00% and 7.69% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 22 million units of its shares in 461 deals, valued at N374 million.
