The Nigerian equities market on Friday closed positive as the All Share Index rose 0.27% higher to close at 41,218.72 points as the against the previous close of 41,107.81 points on Thursday.
Market capitalisation advanced by 0.27% to settle at N14.931 trillion, gaining about N4billion above the previous close of N14.890 trillion
Volume and value of traded stocks declined 11.48% and 11.25%, closing at 283.6 million units and N4.2 billion respectively.
Market Breadth
26 stocks closed positive while 22 stocks lost, bringing the market breadth to a positive round off.
Percentage Gainers
International Breweries led other percentage gainers closing 9.05% above the previous close of N47.5 to settle at N51.8.
C&I Leasing grew 7.78% and Veritas Kapital grew 6.45% ahead other stocks like Livestock Feeds, Beta Glass and NASCON.
Percentage Losers
Mobil tops the losers’ chart losing 4.95% of its share price, while CHAMS and Continental Reinsurance both shed 4.55% and 4.40% respectively.
Access Bank has the highest volume of traded stocks, trading about 40.5 million units of its shares while Dangote Cement has the highest traded value worth about N1.23 billion
