Dangote Cement declares N16 dividend to shareholders, posts N276bn profit in FY 2020

Dangote Cement in its published Audited Financial Statement for the Year ended 31 December, 2020 declared a final dividend of N16.00 to shareholders, subject to the appropriate withholding tax and approval. Dividend will be payable to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on April 27, 2021.

The Cement manufacturing giant reported a turnover of N1.034 trillion, up by 15.98% from N891.67 billion reported in 2019.

Profit after tax appreciated by 37.68% to N276.068 billion from the after tax profit of N200.521 billion

Earnings per share of the Group increased by 37.68% to N16.20 from N11.77.

At the share price of N220, the P.E ratio of Dangote Cement stands at 13.58x with earnings yield of 7.36%.

The Register of Shareholders will be closed on April 28, 2021.

By May 27, 2021, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at April 27, 2021 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their bank accounts.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the firm will be held on May 26 2021 at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, at 11.00 am. Attendance will be by proxy, subject to prevailing government restrictions on public gatherings in line with Covid–19 health protocols.
