Chemical and Allied Products Plc (CAP Plc) has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public of the appoint has appointed Oladele Ajayi as a Non-Executive Director of the Company effective June 12, 2025.
Oladele Ajayi is a seasoned business leader with over two decades of impactful leadership across diverse markets across Central Africa, East Africa, and Europe. He has consistently demonstrated a strong track record in driving growth, operational excellence, and strategic transformation within complex and dynamic business environments.
Mr. Ajayi currently sits as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Champions Brewery PLC, Grand Cereal Limited, MDS Logistics Limited, Molly Specialist Hospital and UPDC PLC (Alternate Director). Prior to these roles, Mr. Ajayi was a former Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer at UAC Foods Limited where he was responsible for formulating and executing the company’s strategy to deliver — and consistently exceed — performance targets.
In addition to his operational expertise, Mr. Ajayi has deep exposure to corporate governance and boardroom leadership. Mr. Ajayi was a prominent figure within Heineken’s global leadership structure, having held several strategic roles, including Managing Director for the Central and East Africa sub-region and Managing Director of Heineken Hungary. He served in various high-level board positions, including Chairman of the Board of Sierra Leone Brewery Ltd (SLBL), Chairman of the Board of Brasseries et Limonaderies du Rwanda (BRALIRWA), Vice President of the Board of Brasseries et Limonaderies du Burundi (BRARUDI), External Director on the Board of Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, and Director of the Board of Brasserie de Bourbon, St. Denis, La Réunion.
Mr. Ajayi holds a Doctorate (PhD) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. In addition, he has completed several prestigious executive education programs, including the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at Harvard Business School and an Advanced Marketing Diploma from the Institute of Marketing Managers, Johannesburg, South Africa.
