Bullish run persists on NGX as All Share Index closed by 0.70% higher

The Nigerian stock market on Wednesday closed higher, extending the bullish run as the All Share Index grew by 0.70% to close at 145,813.86 points from the previous close of 144,796.37 points.

The Market Capitalisation grew by 0.70% to close at N92.253 trillion from the previous close of N91.608 trillion, thereby adding N645 billion.

An aggregate of 2.7 billion units of shares were traded in 35,137 deals, valued at N32.6 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 53 equities emerged as gainers against 26 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Jaiz Bank, SCOA, Nem Insurance, MANSARD, MEYER, LEARNAFRICA, HMCALL, Mutual benefits and GUINNESS led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N4.73, N5.50, N29.70, N12.10, N18.15, N6.27, N4.84, N2.42 and N128.75. above their various previous close

Percentage Losers

NGXGROUP, UACN, and UHOMERIET led other price decliners as they shed 10.00% each of their share prices to close below the previous close.

Living Trust Insurance and MULTIVERSE among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.93% and 9.68% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Linkage Assurance traded about 562 million units of its shares in 209 deals, valued at N978 million.

Sterling Bank traded about 184 million units of its shares in 1089 deals, valued at N1.5 billion.

AIICO Insurance traded about 91 million units of its shares in 181 deals, valued at N263 million
