Bearish trend persist as NSEASI closes 0.09% lower, Tuesday

The Nigerian stock market on Tuesday closed in red as the All Share Index declined further by 0.09% 26,365.83 points from the previous close of 26,390.08 points on Monday.

Market Capitalisation closed at N12.835 trillion, shedding N12 billion from the previous close of N12.847 trillion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at N694 million units, valued at N7.8 billion in 2,780 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 12 stocks gained while 13 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Courteville led the gainers’ list with 10% growth, closing at N0.22 from the previous close of N0.20.

This is flowed by Cutix Plc, gaining 9.92% to close at N1.44 from the previous close of  N1.31.

Cornerstone Insurance and Neimeth among others also grew their share prices by 8.57% and 8.11% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Eternal Oil, Omoluabi Mortgage Bank among other price decliners shed their share prices by 9.52% and 9.09% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 357 million units of its shares in 348 deals, valued at N6.18 billion.
