Airtel Africa on Wednesday published its Fourth Quarter report for the year ended 31 March 2022.
Revenue of the telecom giant grew by 21% for the year to $4.714 billion (N1.96 trillion) from $3.888 billion (N1.62 trillion) reported the previous year.
According to the report, constant currency underlying revenue growth was strong in all regions: Nigeria up 27.7%, East Africa up 22.7% and Francophone Africa up 17.2%; and across all key services, with revenue in Voice up 15.4%, Data up 34.6% and Mobile Money up 34.9%.
Profit after tax grew by 82% to $755 million (N313.95 billion) from $415 million (N172.57 billion) reported the previous year
Earnings per share EPS of the Company stands at 16.8 cents, up by 86.5% from the EPS of 9 cents reported the previous year.
A final dividend of 3 cents per share was recommended in addition to an interim dividend of 2 cents, making total dividends of 5 cents. Total dividend pay out the previous year was 4 cents.
