The Directors of Africa Prudential Plc has recommended to the Shareholders the payment 50 kobo per share as dividend amounting to N1 billion payable to Shareholders on the Company’s Register of Members as at March 5, 2021.
The firm in its published Audited Financial Statement for the year ended 31 December 2020, reported the Gross Earnings of N3.508 billion, down by 10.2% from N3.907 billion reported the previous year.
Profit after tax for the period under review was N1.446 billion, down by 13.98% from N1.68 billion achieved in 2019.
Earnings per share (EPS) of the firm stands at N0.72, down by 13.98% from the EPS of N0.84.
At the share price of N5.8, the P.E ratio of Africa Prudential Plc stands at 8.02x with earnings yield of 12.47%
Qualification date for proposed dividend is on March 15, 2021. The Register of Shareholders will be closed from March 16, 2021 to March 20, 2021.
On March 26, 2021 dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at March 15, 2020 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
