Stocks to Watch: June 5, 2025

At the close of trade on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, the All Share Index of the Nigerian Exchange grew by 0.32% to settle at 112,781.73 points with Market Capitalisation of N71.118 trillion.

Top 5 gainers on Wednesday are Oando (10%), UH Real Estate Investment Trust (9.96%), Royal Exchange (8.64%), Legend Internet (7.27%) and LASACO (6.67%) respectively.

OANDO

Oando on Wednesday grew its share price by 10% to close at N51.7 from the previous close of N47. In the past 52 weeks, the share price of Oando has touched a high of N98.40 from a low of N12.50.

It is trading 47.46% away from its 52 weeks high of N98.40 relative to its current price of N51.7. This infers an uptrend potential of over 45% for Oando, based on its 52 weeks high.

The Audited Financial Statement of the Company for the year ended 31 December 2024 shows growth in its top line and bottom line figures.

Technical Analysis may recommend a strong buy for Oando, but the fundamentals are not looking attractive.

A NEGATIVE Shareholder’s Fund of N360.98 billion for FY 2024 does not make the stock attractive.

Book Value of NEGATIVE N29.04 reveals that Oando is grossly OVERPRICED.

The price rally of the stock is purely market sentiment and speculations.

UH REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST (UHOMREIT)

UH Real Estate Investment Trust closed on Wednesday at N50.25, up by 9.96% from the previous close of N45.70.

In the past 52 weeks, the share price of UHOMREIT has touched a high of N56.90 from a low of N36.60.

It is trading 11.70% away from its 52 weeks high of N56.90, which implies an uptrend potential for the stock.

The Audited Financial Statement of the Company for the year ended 31 December 2024 show growth in its top line and bottom line figures. The Q1 2025 report also show growth in the Company’s revenue and profit after tax.

Its Book Value of N43.56 relative to its current market price of N50.25 shows the stock is OVERPRICED.

ROYAL EXCHANGE

Royal Exchange grew its share price on Wednesday by 8.64% to close at N0.88 from the previous close of N0.81. It has touched a high of N1.33 from a low of N0.55 in the past 52 weeks.

It is trading 33.83% away from its 52 weeks high of N1.33, implying an uptrend potential of about 34% for Royal Exchange.

LEGEND INTERNET

The share price of Legend Internet on Wednesday closed at N5.90, up by 7.27% from the previous close of N5.50.

Listed on the NGX on April 24, 2025, at a listing price of N5.64, it has been oscillating in the N5 and N7 bands.

As at May 23, 2025, the share price of Legend Internet hit N7.60. It has an uptrend potential about 22.4% relative to the high price band of N7.60.

A position in Legend Internet at N5.90 has an uptrend potential of 22.4% relative to the high price band of N7.60.

LASACO

LASACO Assurance closed on Wednesday at N3.20, up by 6.67% from the previous close of N3.

 It has touched a high of N4.09 from a low of N1.92 in the past 52 weeks.

LASACO is trading 21.76% away from its 52 weeks high of N4.09, which implies an uptrend potential for the stock based on its 52- weeks high.
