Nigerian Bourse stays 0.33% afloat, gains N197bn

The Nigerian Bourse on Tuesday closed bullish as the All Share Index grew further by 0.33% to close at 98,540.93 points from Monday’s close of 98,215.13 points.

Investors gained N197 billion as market capitalisation advanced to N59.707 trillion from N59.510 of the last trading session.

An aggregate of 286 million units of shares were traded in 9,650 deals, valued at N26.8 billion.

 Market Breadth

The Market Breadth closed negative as 15 equities appreciated in their share prices against 28 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Champion Breweries led other gainers with 9.97% growth to close at N3.42 from the previous close of N3.11.

TANTALIZER grew 9.09% and OANDO grew 7.93% ahead of other stocks on the gainer chart.

 Percentage Losers

CAVERTON tops the losers’ chart losing 10.00% of its share price, while TRIPPLEG, C & I Leasing and Jaiz Bank shed their share prices by 9.95%, 9.80% and 9.21% respectively.

Volume Drivers

ACCEESSCORP traded about 46 million units of its shares were traded in 334 deals, valued at about 928.5 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 30 million units of its shares were traded in 351 deals, valued at N1.14 billion.

ARADEL traded about 25 million units of its shares in 2288 deals, valued at about N20.75 million.
