Nigerian Bourse stays 0.03% afloat, gains N16bn

The Nigerian Bourse on Monday closed bullish following Friday’s 0.02% marginal close.

The All Share Index rose by 0.03% to close at 100,568.60 points from Friday’s close of 100,539.40 points.

Investors gained N16 billion as market capitalisation advanced to N56.945 trillion from N56.929 of the last trading session.

An aggregate of 335.7 million units of shares were traded in 8,760 deals, valued at N3.7 billion.

 Market Breadth

The Market Breadth closed positive as 23 equities appreciated in their share prices against 15 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

TANTALIZER led other gainers with 8.89% growth to close at N0.49 from the previous close of N0.45.

Livestock Feeds grew 8.18% and NEIMETH grew 8.05% ahead of other stocks.

 Percentage Losers

CAVERTON tops the losers’ chart losing 9.68% of its share price, while Royal Exchange, VERITAS KAPITAL and International Breweries shed their share prices by 6.94%, 4.72% and 4.42% respectively.

Volume Drivers

GTCO traded about 39 million units of its shares were traded in 544 deals, valued at about 368.7 million.

ACCESSCORP traded about 13 million units of its shares were traded in 601 deals, valued at N216.8 million.

UBA traded about 22 million units of its shares in 367 deals, valued at about N228 million.
